As a team member you will be contributing to the sustainable supply of rare earths metals which are used in oil & gas, electric vehicles, and wind turbines. We are looking for a driven Mine Geologist to join our geology team at Mt Weld. This is a permanent role with Lynas Rare Earths based at Mt Weld Operation and offer a family friendly roster of 8 days on 6 days off fly in fly out (FIFO) from Perth. In this role, you are crucial in providing technical support to the operations. As a highly valued member of the Lynas Mt Weld team, you will: Support the geology and mining departments HSE objectives. Manage the day-to-day grade control activities via geological mapping, ore mark-ups as well as monitoring ore quality through ore spotting and stockpile management. Assist with assay analysis (using IoGas), ore blocks designs, drill designs, EOM reconciliation, and other projects. Assist with exploration work to discover, expand, and further define the Mt Weld ore body through drilling, including geological logging of RC and diamond drill holes.
