Description Service Line Overview Our People & Culture Team is responsible to deliver HR strategy aligned to the organisational objectives and provide specialist support across the entire employee lifecycle enabling the business to deliver. This function is key to the business success and requires human, empathetic, and driven team members who thrive on collaboration and making a positive difference to the business and fundamentally love working with people. The purpose of the Senior Talent and People Business Partner position is to support their dedicated business division/organisation in delivering its strategic and operational objectives, goals, and targets via the application of people & culture strategic and operational best practices. The role covers all human resource generalist practices and is required to deliver a human and effective organisational people and culture service. This position is responsible for shaping and executing talent acquisition strategies, building high-quality talent pipelines, and delivering a seamless recruitment experience that supports both immediate hiring needs and long-term capability goals. As a trusted advisor, the Senior Business Partner partners with leaders on performance management, engagement, employee relations, promotions, onboarding and offboarding, and other key people programs. The role is also responsible for driving continuous improvement across P&C processes and contributing to the overall delivery of an effective, human-centered people function. Key Responsibilities and Duties Attraction, talent management and workforce capability Key driver of resource management strategy and collaborate across senior leadership to manage key stakeholders on resource management and forecasting to plan and alignment to talent management attraction strategies to increase workforce capability across their region/ portfolio Build talent pipelines, manage external recruitment costs to minimum, develop strategy around external key relationships e.g. universities to attract graduates and drive relevant other partnerships and innovative plans to create talent pools and recruit Develop and implement efficient policies that comply with legal regulations and best practices Support the development and execution of employer brand initiatives in alignment with MBB’s values and EVP to attract diverse, high-quality talent Embed diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into sourcing and attraction strategies Champion internal mobility and career pathways by identifying talent for promotion or redeployment across the organisation Ensure a consistent, responsive and positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle. 2. In collaboration with P&C Director, facilitate and deliver P&C across the entire Employee life cycle (recruit, onboard, engagement, performance & promotion, offboard and exit): Drive the talent strategy and end to end recruitment, onboarding, probation, offboarding and exit process and related administration in collaboration with business leaders and hiring managers Implement and drive performance management & promotion processes with facilitation and supporting business leaders and line managers in managing specific performance issues Own and deliver P&C People plans and Engagement plans and projects for dedicated business units working in collaboration with P&C Director, Team and key business leaders Identify areas of continuous improvement and apply change management Work in collaboration with the P&C team to facilitate and manage graduate attraction and VISA sponsorship process Leverage people data and reporting to provide insights and recommendations that support business decisions and improve people outcomes Contribute to the optimisation and ongoing enhancement of recruitment and HR systems and tools (e.g. HRIS, ATS) Ensure compliance in onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation, probity checks, and exit interviews Monitor key people metrics (e.g. time-to-fill, turnover, engagement) and provide reporting to senior leaders to inform planning. 3. Generalist People and Culture service delivery Coach and support leadership to build leadership and line manager capability and employee engagement to build workforce capability and support business growth Lead a range of people and culture initiatives and projects in collaboration with the P&C team and strategy that are impactful and aligned to business requirements and our people Own talent management, succession planning and high-performance programs for dedicated division Be a trusted partner and confidential advisor to your stakeholders on a range of people matters, escalating appropriately to the P&C Director with a care for people, health & safety and legislative lens Proactively drive people engagement and values alignment activities Drive continuous improvements across core responsibilities Support managers in addressing employee relations issues with fairness and consistency, ensuring alignment with legal obligations and internal policies Interpret industrial instruments and employment legislation to provide accurate, risk-aware advice Contribute to the promotion of wellbeing, flexible work, and mental health support initiatives across the business. You'll have these skills and experience: Significant recruitment expertise, including development of proactive talent strategies, direct sourcing, talent pooling, diversity hiring, and reducing reliance on agency spend. Experience using platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter and ATS systems to deliver high-quality recruitment outcomes. Demonstrated P&C/HR Business Partnering, Talent Management, and Resource Management experience in Australia across the full employee lifecycle, ideally within a people advisory, consulting, or professional services environment. Deep understanding of Australian employment law, including the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards, with demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge pragmatically and build fit-for-purpose policies. Excellent communication skills, verbal, written, and interpersonal with an ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Highly collaborative with strong consultation and facilitation skills, ensuring alignment between people initiatives and business priorities. Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, balance competing priorities, and respond calmly under pressure. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail and commercial acumen. Confident using Microsoft Office suite, HRIS (e.g. ELMO), and reporting tools to support people metrics, dashboards, and compliance tracking. Self-aware, reflective, and comfortable providing and receiving feedback to support growth and accountability.
