About the Role We are seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator to support a highly complex, mission-critical platform used for real-time network control and outage management across Queensland. This is a 12-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension. You’ll be working within a high-performing engineering division focused on delivering and maintaining operational technology systems, with a key focus on reliability, security, and performance. Essential Criteria Extensive experience in Linux/UNIX systems administration (preferably Red Hat); Strong background in systems integration, including networking, scripting, comms protocols, and authentication mechanisms; and Experience with Oracle RDMS in large, multi-schema environments. Responsibilities Provide systems administration and support across multiple non-production and production environments; Diagnose and remediate system issues impacting performance or availability; Contribute to platform stability through proactive monitoring, upgrades, and maintenance; Implement and maintain system documentation and configuration standards; Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver technical recommendations aligned with business needs; Support system changes, integration efforts, and enhancements in response to project or operational needs; and Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and licensing standards. Desirables: Exposure to GE ADMS, PowerOn or similar real-time control platforms / distribution management systems.
