Business Development Rep - BDR Melbourne: Cremorne Office / Hybrid $70k Base OTE Super High growth B2B SaaS Black Nova are supporting one of our portfolio companies. 1Breadcrumb makes impactful safety and compliance software for construction in AU/NZ, UK/I & North America. We are an Australian (Melbourne) Headquartered SaaS company with a product that’s used by more than 1 in 4 construction workers in Australia, and 1 in 2 in New Zealand, and we are expanding globally. About the Role We’re growing rapidly and seeking a high-energy, results-driven BDR to help us identify and connect with construction companies that will benefit from our platform. You can play a crucial role in driving new logo acquisition that contributes massively to our journey. You can be one of the foundations of the Sales team from a skill and cultural standpoint. What You’ll Do Prospect: Identify, research, and reach out to key decision-makers (e.g. Project Managers, HSE Managers, Construction Directors) via phone, email, and LinkedIn. Qualify: Engage leads in discovery to understand their needs and challenges, and determine if they’re a good fit for our platform. Nurture: Educate prospects about our solution, handle objections, and keep conversations warm until they’re sales-ready. Collaborate: Work closely with Account Executives to book meetings and ensure a seamless handoff. Track & Optimise: Maintain clean CRM records and continuously test messaging to improve conversion rates. Requirements 1–2 years in sales, business development, or a customer-facing role Ideally you'll come from a B2B or Software environment, but it's not essential Personable, friendly and enjoys interacting with all types of stakeholders both in person and on the phone Confident communicator with strong phone and written skills. Motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup or tech-driven environment.
