About the Role: As an Accountant at IntoWork, you will be working closely with the Head of Finance, assisting with the finance systems and processes required within the organisation. Your pivotal role will ensure the smooth execution of financial activities across multiple entities of the IntoWork group, establishing and maintaining best practices that uphold their commitment to excellence in financial management. Key responsibilities include: Financial Reporting Prepare the monthly board reports for each entity including commentary. Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cashflow Reports must be produced accurately, focusing on completeness and provided in the correct format Support the budgeting process Review the Gross Margin report on a weekly basis to ensure the accuracy of the information in the ledger Complete investigation of unexpected or incomplete postings in a timely manner Have regular conversations with Business leaders & managers about the financial performance of their business Understand the business drivers and initiatives to support the business performance Contribute to the preparation of year-end financial statements and supporting working papers for External Auditors Review the reliability and appropriateness of disclosures in the financial statements particular with regards to estimates, variance and operational matters Develop recommendations by applying financial principles and practices Ensure the financial statements comply with the Accounting Standards and relevant Policies & Procedures Financial Management Complete monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations including subsidiary ledgers Prepare and post accurate general ledger journals Review the accuracy of all information used in the production of financial statements Ensure all the accounting records comply with the Accounting Standards and relevant Policies & Procedures Ensure the Fixed Asset register is accurate, apply appropriate depreciation methods and useful life assessments Timely delivery of information for external tax accountants relating to annual statutory accounts, income tax returns Prepare and lodge on time BAS, PAYG, Payroll Tax, FBT, Workcover statements, Acquittals and any other required submissions of a financial nature Assist by developing reports for data analysis and develop financial models which will assist in identifying trends, understand the financial implications of business decisions, assist deliver cost controls and provide input on strategies to improve business practices In conjunction with the Head of Finance review business processes, policies and procedures and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls About You: Tertiary qualification within a related discipline i.e. business and commerce (Mandatory) A minimum of 2-3 years in a similar finance role post CA/CPA qualification. CA/CPA qualified.
