The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing and maintaining digital platforms that support online sales, customer engagement, and internal systems. Experience with WordPress and Wix is highly regarded, especially for content-driven campaign or landing pages. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, maintain, and scale retail-focused web applications using Python and Django - Collaborate with the design, marketing, and e-commerce teams to deliver engaging and effective digital experiences - Build and maintain APIs and integrations for product data, payment systems, and CRM platforms - Ensure mobile-first, responsive design and accessibility compliance - Support ad-hoc marketing and promotional sites built on WordPress or Wix - Optimise application performance, SEO, and usability across all devices - Stay current with retail and e-commerce web trends, tools, and technologies Required Skills & Experience: - 2 years of professional experience in web development using Python and Django - Strong front-end skills (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) - Experience working with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar relational databases - Familiarity with Git and collaborative version control workflows - Strong problem-solving and communication skills - Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines Desirable / Bonus Skills: - Hands-on experience with WordPress (custom themes, plugins, PHP) - Familiarity with Wix, including Velo scripting - Experience with e-commerce tools or platforms (e.g., WooCommerce, Shopify API, Stripe integration) - Knowledge of cloud hosting (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) - Understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, and performance optimization for retail sites Interested?
