The role: This position provides specialist and strategic workplace relations expertise, planning and management in support of a People and Culture Service Plan to deliver across key functions and projects. The role has a particular focus on Employee Relations (ER) case management, policy, compliance, remuneration, change and Industrial Relations (IR) implications. This role also works with employee representatives and unions on Council’s current and successor Enterprise Agreement. The position further provides ER/ IR and case management leadership in support of People & Culture Business Partners through a client focused model delivering quality outcomes for leaders and the organisation. About you: To be effective in this position, you will have extensive and diverse experience in senior people advisory and partnering roles to draw upon. You've successfully navigated through wide-ranging issues and programs of work across ER/ IR, bringing a depth of applied experience delivering contemporary solutions-focused workforce initiatives that are consistent with strategic objectives. Your experience in a leadership role across a broad range of HR functions within complex and dynamic environments sets you apart. You’ll bring a proven track record coaching managers and in case management of a variety of employee related matters such as grievances, underperformance, workplace investigations, disciplinary and associated matters. Your IR expertise and significant experience in the development and implementation of HR policies, strategies and programs will set you up for success for this pivotal role.
