Impact of This Role The Human Resources Business Partner will play a vital role in cultivating a positive, high-performing and engaging workplace culture at the Institute. Reporting to the General Manager, People, Community & Culture, this role will empower leaders to build capability, guide employees through change and ensure the employee experience reflects the organisation’s values. The role will take ownership of day-to-day HR activities, support recruitment efforts, advise managers on people matters and ensure that policies, procedures and compliance measures are maintained and strengthened. This is a 6-month contract position with a hybrid working arrangement, including 2 days per week on-site at their offices in either Sydney or Melbourne. Key Responsibilities Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing strategic HR support and operational guidance across the employee lifecycle Deliver workforce planning, succession planning and talent development initiatives, including supporting with end-to-end recruitment Support ongoing HR policy and WHS reviews and updates, ensuring compliance and improving clarity and accessibility of processes Coach and advise on employee relations, including performance management, grievance resolution and change management Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, fostering a positive and supportive workplace Implement and maintain HR policies, programs and systems that reflect best practice and comply with legislation Lead and contribute to people-focused projects that enhance employee wellbeing, engagement and organisational effectiveness About You An experienced and self-sufficient HR practitioner, comfortable balancing operational HR with some strategic insight. Capable of providing confident advice to managers, resolving sensitive employee issues and managing BAU HR effectively and independently.
