Description Join QTC’s Finance team responsible for the financial leadership of a reputable central financing authority for the Queensland Government. Our mission is to partner with the business to drive optimal performance while maintaining an objective viewpoint and a strong financial control framework. As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with and supporting senior divisional leadership teams and other key stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to provide financial performance reporting that enhances the division’s performance. You will leverage your strong data-driven analytical skills and effective communication and partnering abilities to offer financial insights, advice, and recommendations that drive business performance optimisation. What You’ll do: Collaborate with Leadership: Work with Divisional Directors, Executive Directors, and Managing Directors to provide insightful reporting and analysis for key business decisions. Stakeholder Relationships: Build strong relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and partner. Performance Reporting: Deliver monthly management reports, monitor results, and present key insights to improve business performance. Business Planning: Support divisional business planning, including developing budgets, forecasts, and KPIs aligned with QTC strategy. Financial Models: Establish and maintain financial models to drive strategies for optimizing business performance. What You’ll bring: Finance Business Partnering: Experience working with senior executives. Finance Systems: Proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, and PowerPoint. Accounting: Expertise in Financial and Management Accounting. Reporting: Skills in portfolio, product, client accounting, and project benefit realization reporting. Monthly Reporting: Experience in monthly management and board reporting. Budgeting and Forecasting: Strong skills in developing budgets and forecasts. Standards Adherence: Knowledge of accounting standards and practices. Analytical Skills: Strong financial model development and data analysis capabilities. Communication: Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong stakeholder relationships. Organizational Skills: Effective time management and ability to handle pressure. Essential: 6 years in finance business partnering within Financial Services, advanced analytical skills, and experience presenting to senior stakeholders. Desirable: Experience in financial services, risk management, and project accounting.
