We’re evolving and we need people like you to bring new ideas, innovate and make your mark.Job DescriptionAs a News Producer at 9News Sydney, you'll thrive in our dynamic newsroom, contributing to a range of programs including Today Show News, 11:30 am, 4 pm, 6 pm, and Late News. You'll be instrumental in producing high-quality, engaging journalism that informs and educates our viewers on local, national, and international stories. Working closely with the Executive Producer and a dedicated team, you'll play a key role in delivering impactful news.Day to day you will:Support the Executive Producer in developing audience-focused content.Research, develop, verify, script, and edit news stories in collaboration with reporters and editors.Identify compelling stories and unique angles that resonate with our viewership.Ensure all content is accurate and legally compliant.Assist with rolling coverage during breaking news events.Operate within the control room environment to facilitate live broadcasts.Manage multiple stories simultaneously, prioritising tasks to meet strict deadlines.QualificationsWhat you'll bring:Strong understanding of news and current affairs.Proven experience in TV, radio, or other news media.Exceptional communication and broadcast writing skills.Demonstrated creative and innovative thinking.Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Solid understanding of media and broadcast law.Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.Proficiency in desktop editing, Avid and ENPS systems.Additional InformationHow we workAt Nine, our flexible work options vary by role and team.
