Engineering Trades Australia are seeking a Shift Fixed Plant Fitter for a 2:1 roster at an Iron Ore Mine ! This is a short-term opportunity (2–3 months) with an immediate start available and the chance to get involved in both operational and maintenance aspects of the plant. This is a great role for someone flexible, proactive, and willing to roll up their sleeves – not just as a Fitter, but as part of the processing crew! About the Role: Roster: 2:1 – Days & Nights Duration: Approx. 2–3 months Shift length: 11.5 hours Pay rate: $68/hr days - $78.5/hr nights Location: FIFO from Perth to Site Camp: Accommodation and meals provided Mobilisation: ASAP What You'll Be Doing: Assisting with both operational and maintenance duties Supporting the shift operations team with plant running and cleaning Hosing, sample collection, inspections, and control room duties (training provided) Performing planned maintenance tasks (mostly day shift) Participating in weekly plant shutdowns every Wednesday (day shift only) Ideal Candidate Will Have: Mechanical Trade Certificate (Australia-recognised) Fixed plant fitting experience (ideally in mining/processing) Comfortable working independently and in small teams A proactive attitude and willingness to pitch in with non-trade tasks Skid Steer Ticket – advantageous but not essential Valid White Card Working at Heights & Confined Space (within 2 years) Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen Full Australian working rights (Citizens or PR only) How to Apply: If you're looking for your next FIFO opportunity where you can be hands-on and involved in all aspects of site operations – we want to hear from you!
