We are on the hunt for an experienced and capable Diesel Fitter to join our Townsville Component Rebuild Center. This is a Permanent Monday to Friday position working 38 hours per week . The primary focus of this role is to repair, rebuild and overhaul a range of Caterpillar components . This is an exciting opportunity to work in a world class facility and access the latest in CAT equipment , technology and training resources. Our Townsville Component Rebuild Center works with a wide variety of components including: Differentials & Torque Converters Engines Hydraulic Cylinders Reclamation Shop Small Components Transmissions Component Test Section As a Diesel Fitter in this varied and interesting role, you will: Service, repair and maintain a range of Caterpillar components Increase productivity by completing all repairs and overhauls in a safe and timely manner Determine the reusability of all disassembled parts Accurately maintain and complete all paperwork associated with job completion Ensure cleanliness and quality is of the highest standard at all times Perform efficiently by working to a schedule of daily overhaul requirements Why Hastings Deering?
