As the Specialist AOD Family Violence Advisor , you’ll lead efforts to build the capacity of the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) sector to identify and respond to family violence with confidence, compassion, and consistency. Your role, your impact You’ll work closely with AOD clinicians, team leaders, and partners across the sector to promote safe, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practice in line with the MARAM Framework. You’ll: Provide secondary consultations and support to AOD teams Design and deliver training, reflective practice, and education sessions Promote systems integration and collaboration between AOD and family violence services Build staff confidence in identifying and responding to risk Apply your knowledge of the Family Violence and Child Information Sharing Schemes Improve referral pathways and service navigation for victim-survivors Advocate for accountability and safe practice when working with people who use violence Who we’re looking for You’re a driven and compassionate professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a deep understanding of the intersections between AOD and family violence.
