With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD, Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be!    Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced O&G Sonologists to join the Northern Imaging Victoria team.  Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.  Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.  Northern Imaging Victoria is the medical imaging program of Northern Health and provides a comprehensive and integrated service consisting of Diagnostic Radiology, Interventional Radiology and Nuclear Medicine/PET including O&G Imaging. Our services are based across multiple Northern Health sites, with a focus on acute and emergency imaging and intervention at the Northern Hospital Epping which serves the busiest Emergency Department in Victoria. Additional imaging services are provided at Broadmeadows Hospital and Kilmore Hospital. Our department is equipped with the latest medical imaging equipment and a best of breed RIS-PACS and VR system. We are a friendly, supportive and progressive department with a strong focus on pursuing clinical and academic excellence. Our O&G Imaging service is delivered by a collaborative multidisciplinary team of O&G sonologists, radiologists and sonographers.  About the Role: This role requires subspecialist training and qualification in O&G imaging with certification in Obstetrical and Gynaecological Ultrasound (COGU) by the RANZCOG as well as the ability to work and collaborate positively to a multidisciplinary O&G imaging service within Northern Imaging Victoria.  This position is responsible for: Providing safe, high quality and efficient O&G ultrasound imaging and procedural services to referrers and patients of Northern Health as well as external referrers. Ensuring the provision of O&G ultrasound services in accordance with governing laws and regulations as established by the medical regulatory bodies, including the Medical Board/AHPRA, RANZCOG/RANZCR. Collaborating with other colleagues in a multidisciplinary environment to deliver a safe and high-quality O&G imaging service. Participation in quality, research and/or administrative activities as required.  To be successful in this role you will have: Registrable primary medical qualification (MBBS, MB BCh, MD or equivalent). Registration as a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Australia with AHPRA or have the ability to be registered with AHPRA (and gain a Medicare Provider Number) with currency of practice and CPD participation. Current Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) and subspecialty Certification in Obstetrical and Gynaecological Ultrasound (COGU). Current National Police and Working with Children History Check. Broad knowledge in all aspects of O&G ultrasound for safe and independent consultant practice including core procedural skills. Expert knowledge and experience in O&G imaging including a recognized period of training leading to attainment of the COGU qualification. Demonstrated commitment to excellence in O&G imaging service delivery. Demonstrated commitment to continued improvement and collaborative team work within a multidisciplinary environment. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills that enable the development of professional relationships across a broad range of people.
