Description We are looking for a commercially focused Principal Landscape Architect to drive Arcadia’s strategic client engagement, lead the pursuit of new business, and support our business expansion. Reporting to the NSW Studio Lead, this senior leadership position emphasises commercial growth and value creation, with a strong focus on revitalising client relationships, discovering new opportunities, and securing additional business. In this role, you will manage a variety of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet client expectations and deliver significant value. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Studio Lead, Sydney and other members of the Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement landscape design projects. Meet revenue targets by delivering exceptional service and maintaining rigorous project management practices. This includes supporting forecasting, project budgeting, risk assessment, and financial management to ensure successful project outcomes. Foster individual growth through effective coaching and mentoring of our talented team, cultivating a collaborative culture that emphasises design quality and excellence in landscape design, embodying the values of Arcadia. Generate new business opportunities, enhance relationships with existing clients, and champion a values-driven agenda. Lead and manage a variety of projects of various scales and complete to budget and schedule. Design excellence – undertake and manage design and design development of projects. Communicate professionally with colleagues and clients to drive outcomes. Guarantee the consistent production of high-quality deliverables across the studio. This role involves overseeing all aspects of project output, ensuring that every piece of work meets our rigorous standards of excellence. Project a positive image and advocate for Arcadia through all areas of work. Provide invoice information accurately and in a timely fashion. Skills And Experiences Bachelor of Landscape Architecture or accepted equivalent skill set, eg. Architecture with relevant horticulture training. 12 years professional experience in landscape architecture or relevant environment. Experience in team and project management, including responsibility for managing projects successfully from concept to delivery. Well-developed technical skills in regard to design and construction techniques and programs. Revit skills and experience would be seen as a distinct advantage. Proven ability to lead, mentor and grow team members. Ability to delegate tasks effectively to team members to achieve deadlines. Strong time management skills to ensure jobs and projects run to schedule and in alignment with scope. Good communication and presentation skills (both written and oral).
