The Role Reporting to the Senior Manager, Engagement and Retention Marketing, this newly created permanent, full-time role is responsible for managing important engagement and retention programs encompassing onboarding, activation, lifecycle management, targeted communications, supporting service change, and retention initiatives. This involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver impactful programs aligned with NGS’ strategic growth objectives. Additionally, this role will help grow and foster our performance-based culture that is regularly measuring and reporting on progress by harnessing these insights to improve business outcomes via our campaign programs Key focus areas include: 1. Onboarding and Engagement Strategy and Programs: Assist in the planning, development and execution of member and employer onboarding and engagement campaigns tailored to segments and lifecycle stages. Support the building of programs to increase member engagement and strengthen relationship connection through relevant, timely, and personalised communications. Create compelling and engaging marketing content across channels using a combination of original writing and AI generative tools. 2. Retention Strategy and Programs: Develop and execute targeted retention campaigns addressing key attrition challenges, particularly for at risk segments. Implement a data-driven approach to identify and address drivers of member and employer attrition. Implement a data-driven approach to optimising content and campaigns. Create compelling and engaging marketing content across channels using a combination of original writing and AI generative tools. 3. Support Major Service Changes: Assist in the planning, development and execution campaigns and communications that support members and employers to be prepared and able to deal with major service changes. Collaborate with Product, Project, Service, and Digital Experience teams to deliver campaigns that work within, and complement, a broader engagement/communication program. 4. Collaboration and Partners: Work closely with Engagement and Retention Team members, Design and Creative, Digital, and Data positions to support the efficient and effective development and execution of campaigns. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Growth, Advice and Digital Experience, to align initiatives with strategic objectives. Partner with external agencies and creative partners to deliver high-quality marketing materials and campaigns. 5. Performance Analytics and Reporting: Track and measure the effectiveness of campaigns using key performance indicators (KPIs). Provide insights and recommendations to improve marketing performance. Contribute to the development of reporting dashboards to monitor campaign success and member retention trends You have We are looking for someone who brings fresh member engagement experience and thinking to superannuation to help us on our growth journey. Someone who has worked in superannuation (industry or retail). Alternatively, you may come from wealth management, financial services or a related sector that focuses on engagement and retention activities which drives member action. Tertiary education qualifications at an appropriate level in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. 5 years of experience in marketing. Proven track record of delivering campaigns that engage existing customers/members to drive action and support satisfaction, loyalty and retention. Have an act mindset, embracing a “progress over perfection” approach. Strong writing skills and AI generative skills (prompt writing, judgment and editing skills) to support content creation that aligns to target. Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills. Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong understanding of campaign design and execution, digital content. Experience managing external agencies. Excellent project management and organisational skills. Data-driven mindset with experience in analysing campaign performance and making optimisation recommendations.
