The Legal Counsel, Regulatory & Disputes is responsible for management of legal matters relating to Rest including providing legal advice to Rest Business Units, Board and management regarding Rest’s legal rights and duties; and managing Legal Counsel direct reports with a specific focus on regulatory and disputes. Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities Provide legal advice on regulatory legal matters and provision of guidance to the business in relation to legislative, regulatory and licensing obligations. Assist with liaison with regulators including ASIC and APRA for all communications including meetings and correspondence, preparation of reports, schedules and presentations for APRA prudential reviews, where required. Manage litigated matters and disputes where required, including liaison with Rest’s external legal panel in relation to litigated matters. Advise management on regulatory matters that affect business decisions and the execution of Rest’s strategic objectives, Maintain a good working knowledge of regulatory matters and regulatory change relating to Rest. Advise on proposed and actual regulatory changes to stakeholders, as required. Advise on Rest's licences and the activities of representatives of Rest, as required. Advise on Rest’s regulatory reporting frameworks. Work with the Directors, CEO, Executive Leadership Team, General Counsel and Rest management to review and rapidly respond to Government (Federal and State), parliamentary and regulatory correspondence or inquiries, as required. Participate in industry forums to provide input and discussions on regulatory changes and communicate outcomes to relevant internal stakeholders as required.
