About the right team member As a Client Engagement Specialist, you are a SaaS sales expert with a track record of partnering with small businesses. In this role, you’ll demonstrate strong communication, project management, and collaboration skills while leveraging high-level sales expertise to save complex, at-risk deals. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders from Sales, Onboarding, and Customer Experience (CX) to ensure the best solutions for retaining Mindbody customers. About the role Lead efforts to retain escalated customers at risk of cancellation. Drive revenue retention through personalized, consultative engagements. Coordinate and conduct consultative calls with customers to address their needs and prevent churn. Collaborate with various teams, including Customer Experience, Customer Success, Onboarding, Implementation, and Net New and Existing Sales (Land and Expand), to craft effective retention strategies. Achieve retention targets by following internal processes and fostering effective cross-functional collaboration. This is a quota-carrying role. Skills & experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. 1-3 years in a customer retention or upgrade role within a SaaS company, with a strong performance record. Advanced technical aptitude with a solid understanding of APIs, SaaS, cloud computing, and related technologies. Familiarity with the health & wellness industry is a plus. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage and communicate with diverse audiences. Analytical mindset with expertise in forecasting and data-driven decision-making. Proven ability to think on your feet and handle customer objections effectively. Clear and concise communication skills with the ability to convey information to clients and internal partners. Ability to thrive under pressure and perform well in a competitive environment. Strong team player with enthusiasm for collaboration. Ability to consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly KPIs, OKRs, and quotas. LI-NC1
