About the Office The Finance Office is integral to success of the University ensuring responsible stewardship through financial performance and strategic procurement, with a view to financial sustainabi lity and growth. About the role The Manager, Commercial Finance is responsible for leading and managing a team that develops and maintains key financial models for the university. The position involves collaborating with senior leaders and stakeholders to provide expert financial advice, support decision-making and enhancing the u niversity’s commercial operations. The manager will also work closely with the Finance Business Partnering team during budgeting and forecasting periods and contribute to business improvement initiatives aligned with the university’s strategic direction. Key Responsibilities Manage the development, rollout and maintenance of key financial models for the university Provide training to university stakeholders on financial models and their utilisation as required Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to ensure contemporary and expert financial advice and guidance adds value to support decision making within the university Proactively identify strategic financial management challenges and provide guidance to senior leaders for effective decision-making and resolution Lead the financial modelling for Tuition Revenue and local planning for the university ensuring accurate and informed projections Work with senior leaders in the university to assess opportunities to expand the university’s commercial operations, including through partnerships Qualifications, skills & experience Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting CA/CPA level qualifications Proven experience in financial modelling, analysis and forecasting Strong understanding of financial principles and ability to apply them in decision-making Demonstrated experience in initiation and management of chang e Benefits Generous training and development opportunities Friendly and collaborative working environment Fast paced environment with opportunity for professional growth How to apply Please apply online with a resume and cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
