About the role Based on a major infrastructure project in Melbourne’s North-East, this role will provide comprehensive knowledge and support on communications, community relations and stakeholder relations. This role will work closely with the Delivery teams to understand construction phasing and coordinate communication activities so that key stakeholders and the wider community are aware of changes to traffic conditions and project impacts. Other duties and responsibilities include: Develop and implement communication strategies to support community, stakeholder, and road user engagement for project works Prepare and distribute communication materials including fact sheets, notifications, and updates across various channels Ensure timely and accurate communication of traffic changes, project impacts, and benefits Coordinate with internal teams to manage risks, minimise disruptions, and maintain accurate records Respond to community and stakeholder enquiries and manage issues effectively Support internal communication activities and reporting requirements Monitor and evaluate communication effectiveness and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Maintain project systems and databases to ensure compliance, accuracy, and audit readiness. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with: Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Public Relations, Media Relations Communications or Business, or related discipline Extensive prior experience in communications and stakeholder management on major infrastructure projects Experience working within a team and leading team members.
