Our client, a leading name in the superannuation industry, is seeking an experienced risk professional with expertise in AML and financial crime to join their team on a contract basis. This role requires someone who can hit the ground running , operate with minimal direction, and add immediate value across multiple risk and compliance workstreams. The successful candidate will bring strong technical capability, practical experience, and the flexibility to work across transaction monitoring, assurance, GRC support , and governance reporting. Key Responsibilities: AML Transaction Monitoring o Conduct and review AML transaction monitoring and escalate suspicious activity where required o Support enhancement of monitoring rules and systems Financial Crime & AML o Contribute to the development and maintenance of AML and financial crime frameworks o Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory obligations and internal standards Risk, Assurance & Controls (Line 2) o Lead or assist in second-line assurance activities and control testing o Review and update risk and compliance controls, ensuring alignment with enterprise frameworks GRC Administration o Provide hands-on support with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) system administration o Maintain accurate records of risk, control, and assurance data Reporting Support o Assist with the preparation of Audit & Risk Governance (ARG) and Board reporting packs o Ensure reports are timely, accurate, and aligned with executive expectations Key Skills & Experience: Proven expertise in AML, financial crime, and regulatory compliance Hands-on experience with AML transaction monitoring and controls testing Strong understanding of Line 2 risk and assurance frameworks Proficient in GRC platforms and enterprise risk systems Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and reporting capability Ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels and deliver outcomes independently How to Apply: Please submit your CV and cover letter detailing your relevant experience and qualifications.
