My client is a growing independent debt capital advisory firm based in Sydney. The majority of their clients are leading local and global mid-market private equity firms but they also advise a wide range of corporates including many ASX listed groups. They typically advise their clients on; bilateral & syndicated loans, LBOs/MBOs, structured financing/securitisation, subordinated/mezzanine debt and corporate bonds. As a result of continued growth in deal flow, they currently have an opportunity for an experienced professional to join their growing team. Upon successful hire, you will work in a tight-knit group of banking specialists focussed on the delivery of independent debt capital advice and be actively involved in every aspect of the deal. You will have exposure to an interesting variety of transactions across numerous industry sectors and debt products as well as the opportunity to build your own relationships in the market. Upon successful hire, you will: Work on a range of advisory engagements including bilateral & syndicated loans, LBOs/MBOs, structured financing/securitisation, subordinated/mezzanine debt, corporate bonds as well as real estate finance; Be involved in deal execution, including financial analysis & modelling, preparation of information memorandums, deal structuring & benchmarking negotiation of commercial term sheets & facility documentation, and execution & settlement of transactions Collaborate with sponsors, clients, financiers and legal advisors during the deal process, anticipating issues and ensuring smooth execution of transactions; Engage with the team to build relationships and assist in the origination of new deals; and Prepare new proposals/presentations, maintain key databases, support general marketing activities and track loan market trends. The ideal candidate will have: 2-6 years experience in leverage & acquisition finance, debt capital markets, structured finance, corporate banking or an existing debt advisory environment; Attention to detail and strong writing skills; Strong knowledge of credit analysis and deal structuring and a proven ability to complete detailed financial analysis and modelling using Excel; Capacity to think laterally to identify alternative funding solutions or markets for our clients; Strong work ethic and ability to work swiftly when engaged in time-sensitive transactions; Would you like to hear more?
