The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for a Parliamentary Service Level 4 Maintenance Electrician within Property Services Branch. Maintenance Services at Parliament House is responsible for repairs and maintenance of the building's structure, fabric, finishes, landscape, and all engineering services such as air-conditioning, power, lighting, hydraulic services, and movement systems. As part of the Electrical Services team, the successful candidate will be required to contribute to the overall service delivery of Electrical Services by undertaking tasks including, but not limited to, maintenance and repair works to a wide variety of plant and equipment, electrical installation and minor project engagements. The role requires working with a wide variety of clients, both internal and external to the Parliament, in a dynamic work environment where priorities and deadlines frequently change. The team provides the resources to carry out planned and breakdown maintenance with a mix of in-house trade staff and external contractors.
