You will be responsible for the overall performance of distribution operations across one or more locations ensuring the achievement of all agreed financial operational objectives. Your Role You will play a key role in our drive towards customer excellence. Your workforce is diverse including outsourced partners employees, so much of your day will be focused on problem solving, thinking outside the box being innovative. Start your day by reviewing current performance against your KPIs. Where we have closed recent opportunities, review onboarding implementation plans with your team, focusing on zero failure to ensure we deliver as promised. Staying one step ahead of any potential issues will be key. You will be steadfast in ensuring your operation is fully compliant with all licenses, QSHE, dangerous goods requirements, both internal external. Then review all of the factors that contribute to excellence across our operations, troubleshooting any concerns, implementing sustainable solutions to ensure we can continue to evolve our customer relationships, forming trust deeper relationships to enable new opportunities. Your Responsibilities - To manage, plan, organize staff transport sub-contractors (company fleet drivers where applicable). - To work closely with warehouse management teams, ensuring efficient operational execution within acollaborative environment. - To achieve your key performance indicators (KPI) in the areas of cost management, productivity, customerservice profit, safety compliance in line with our policy. - To ensure your team(s) deliver against their customer, site people key performance indicators (KPI). - To lead all activities relating to customer on-boarding, retention operational excellence, while alsosupporting business development teams. - To deliver productivity via engagement activities to create new initiatives, focusing on continuousimprovement at all times, ensuring your operations meet or exceed productivity targets. - To provide information required for tenders/proposals to support closing of new business retention ofexisting business Your Skills and Experiences - Experience: Minimum of 10 years in logistics, distribution, 3PL, and operations, preferably in a managerial or strategic role. - Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams. - Customer Focus: Strong commitment to delivering exceptional value and strengthening customer relationships. - Strategic Thinking: Ability to anticipate future trends and challenges, setting clear directions to achieve ambitious goals. - Problem-Solving: Skilled in breaking down complex challenges into actionable solutions. - Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial performance, budgets, and sustainable growth. - Adaptability: Thrives under pressure and maintains focus during challenges. - Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with internal standards, local legislation, and external regulations. - Continuous Improvement: Experience in implementing processes to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
