FourQuarters has partnered with an established and industry leading organisation with a national footprint who are seeking a Senior Accountant for a 6-8 week contract as part of a new system implementation. The Role As the Senior Accountant you will report to the Financial Controller and be responsible for implementing their lease accounting as part of a recent system implementation. Duties and responsibilities include, but aren't limited to: Lead the end-to-end implementation of lease accounting processes under relevant standards into a new financial system Work cross-functionally with finance, IT, and operations teams to ensure accurate data migration and configuration Develop and maintain lease schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations Assist in the selection, configuration, and testing of lease accounting modules or software Provide training and support to finance staff on the new system and processes Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal control policies Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to leases About You You will have tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or relevant discipline You will be CA/CPA qualified Previous experience with lease accounting and a strong understanding of accounting standards Experience with system implementation and D365 is highly desired Strong written and verbal communications skills You will possess high attention to detail with the ability to priortise tasks If you are immediately available and possess the relevant skillset please apply today!
