The Role As the Assistant Accountant you will handle various accounting duties including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and fixed asset management. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded. Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring they are accurate and compliant with company policies. Manage fixed asset accounting, including tracking asset acquisitions, depreciation, disposals, and impairments. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insights into financial performance. Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank statements. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and support compliance with tax regulations. Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Assist with year-end closing procedures and support audits as required. Ensure that all accounting processes are compliant with applicable regulations and company policies. To Be Considered Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2-3 years of accounting experience, with strong expertise in general ledger and fixed asset management. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations. Experience with journal entries, fixed asset accounting, and general ledger maintenance. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate with other departments. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
