Description We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Management Accountant in Sydney. Join our Government and IFM team and help play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, analysis, and accounting services while driving efficiency, accountability, and process improvement. Reporting to the Accounting Services Manager - Government & IFM, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services. What You’ll Do This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including: Support the Accounting Services team in a high-performance culture environment ensuring adherence to deadlines and Accounting Standards compliance Actively contribute to an accurate and timely end-of-month reporting, including reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis Proactively communicate with key stakeholders, providing clear and timely updates on financial performance, risks, and required actions. Ensure financial obligations and reports are submitted ahead of deadlines, mitigating risks of noncompliance Assist with both external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and insights What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance, or a related field (required). Mandatory CPA or CA with postgraduate degrees (i.e. MBA, Masters in Corporate Finance etc.). Proven experience in financial management and accounting with a strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, EOM reporting, and data analysis. Sound understanding of relevant accounting standards/guidelines, and applicable legislation. Developed stakeholder management skills and the proven ability to develop, maintain and influence business relationships.
