The role As a Senior Financial Accountant for the Adbri Group, you will be responsible for supporting the financial Adbri’s reporting requirements along with participating in improvement initiatives and projects. This position plays a pivotal role in the corporate accounting team to deliver quality statutory, regulatory and compliance reporting, maintaining integrity of financial records and supporting the success of Adbri. You will report directly to the Senior Manager of Group Accounting. This role is based in Sydney, this is a full-time permanent role, which offers flexible work arrangements. Responsibilities Management of the General Ledger including preparation and maintenance of balance sheet reconciliations Preparation of statutory financial reports and key participant in the external audit process Ensure compliance with and monthly reporting of Global Sarbanes-Oxley Financial Control procedures Month end parent company reporting for the Group ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian and US Accounting standards Participate in the establishment of robust systems and protocols for monthly financial reporting to key stakeholders, ensuring compliance with reporting and regulatory standards. Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial processes Document and maintain key accounting policies - you will play a key role in the design, development, and communication of these policies to ensure compliance with all relevant requirements. Collaborate closely with business divisions, offering expert advice on technical accounting matters to bolster strategic project outcomes. What you will need to succeed CA/CPA qualified Demonstrated experience in interpreting and applying Australian accounting standards in a Big 4 Accounting firm Knowledge of US GAAP desirable 5 to 7 years of post-qualification experience ideally in a large, multinational organisation Proven track record of collaborating with Senior Management Experience collaborating with non-finance functions Advanced excel skills along with exposure to financial reporting tools (TM1, SAC, Anaplan etc) and SAC, SAP BI & Power BI Previous exposure to participating in large process/profitability improvement projects will be highly regarded Our business Adbri Limited is a constructions materials and industrial minerals manufacturing company that has been building a better Australia since 1882.
