As they enter an exciting phase of growth, we're seeking a Financial Controller to join their dynamic operation and help build a solid financial foundation that supports the exciting plans that form a part of the organisation's future. This newly created position is key to our evolving financial strategy. As Financial Controller, you will work directly with our CFO to provide accurate reporting, forward-thinking insights, and best-practice financial management. You’ll ensure compliance, streamline processes, and contribute to major business decisions, becoming a vital player on and off the court. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports and assist in compiling annual statements. Develop and analyse board reports, budgets, and forecasts. Ensure full compliance with statutory and tax regulations, including lodgements. Oversee cashflow, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger. Support internal audits and implement robust controls and risk mitigation. Collaborate with department heads on budgeting and financial planning. Build strong relationships with banks, external accountants, and service providers. Champion a culture of collaboration, improvement, and financial excellence. What You Bring A tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CA preferred). 4–7 years of experience in a professional services firm, or relevant role in a commercial environment. In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations. Analytical and strategic thinker with attention to detail. Confident communicator who can liaise across departments and levels.
