Job Info Location: NAR NAR GOON, VIC Salary: Award Job Type: Contract position | Casual position Job Description Dairy Farm Workers Required We require approximately 10 hardworking and dedicated workers to assist with the milking and general farm duties in Nar Nar Goon. The work will involve milking and feeding the cows, building fences, riding quadbike respectfully, heavy lifting and early mornings. This work will commence around mid-late September 2026 and continue until June 2027. Successful applicants will work on average 30 hours a week and will be paid an hourly rate as casual workers under the Pastoral Award 2020. Applicants must be flexible with working hours, as the milking needs to be done twice a day (early mornings and night milking) 6 days a week. You will be required to work an 8-10 hour shift per day in all weather conditions, with start times varying from as early as 5am. It is desirable for applicants to have a current driver’s licence and access to their own vehicle to allow them to work the various hours as well as previous experience with livestock, specifically cattle. This type of work is physically demanding and strenuous. Hay bales and fence posts are heavy and will be placed in the fields by hand (possibly from quadbike), which requires significant walking and bending on uneven ground. Each milking cup is around 1kg each and will be lifting them repeatedly. All applicants should be fit, flexible and of sound health to enable them to conduct this type of work.
