Position: Chef The Bowral Hotel is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The successful applicant will play a key role in delivering high-quality meals while maintaining excellent food safety and kitchen standards in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and venue standards. Plan menus and develop seasonal specials in collaboration with management. Monitor food quality, consistency and portion control. Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during service. Maintain high standards of food hygiene, workplace cleanliness and WHS compliance. Manage food ordering, stock rotation and inventory to minimise waste. Ensure all food is prepared and stored in accordance with Food Safety Standards. Assist with rostering, training and mentoring junior kitchen staff. Skills & Experience Relevant trade qualification (Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent). At least two years of relevant post-qualification experience (or three years' relevant experience where applicable). Experience in a busy pub, bistro or restaurant kitchen. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards. Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills. Knowledge of Australian food safety and hygiene requirements.
