The Position A reputable organisation is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join its finance team based in Brisbane CBD. This is an excellent opportunity for a credit professional who enjoys building strong customer relationships while taking ownership of a high-volume ledger. Working within a collaborative finance team, you'll play a key role in maintaining cash flow, reducing debtor days and managing customer accounts with a balanced commercial approach. Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Credit Manager, your responsibilities will include: Managing a high-volume accounts receivable ledger and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. Contacting customers to secure payment or negotiate suitable payment arrangements. Investigating and resolving account queries, disputes and payment discrepancies. Performing account reconciliations and maintaining accurate customer records. Monitoring customer credit risk and escalating trends or concerns where appropriate. Processing receivable and banking-related administration tasks. Managing insolvency, liquidation and debt recovery processes in line with company policy. Partnering closely with internal stakeholders to resolve customer issues and improve outcomes. Skills & Experience Demonstrated experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable within a medium to large organisation. A proven track record managing a high-volume debtor ledger. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally. Experience with customer reconciliations, dispute resolution and collections.
