We are currently seeking an experienced fitter to join our workshop-based team , specialising in the repair, service and overhaul of submersible pumps . What We Offer: Stable position with regular work with a view for permanency after a probationary period Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4pm with no overtime required Supportive team culture and strong safety systems Modern, well-equipped workshop Opportunities for training and upskilling About the Role: Working in a clean and safety-focused workshop environment, your core responsibilities will include: Stripping down, inspecting, and diagnosing faults in submersible pumps Repairing and reassembling pumps to manufacturer specifications Performing maintenance on a wide range of mechanical components Conducting pressure and performance testing post-repair Maintaining detailed job records and reports Working collaboratively with supervisors and fellow tradespeople to ensure fast turnaround times What We’re Looking For: Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & Turner; will also consider a skilled TA who has had exposure to pumps Proven experience working on submersible pumps or similar rotating equipment desirable Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Safety-first mindset and commitment to workshop best practices Forklift ticket desirable Previous mining or heavy industry experience desirable Be part of a company that supports the mining industry with critical infrastructure , values your skills, and offers long-term employment stability.
