About the role Balanced Care Disability Service and Support is seeking a passionate and experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team in Salisbury, SA. This is a casual role, offering the flexibility to work around your schedule and commitments. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them to live independently and achieve their personal goals. What you'll be doing Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks Accompanying clients to appointments, social events, and community outings Promoting client independence and encouraging participation in recreational and educational activities Developing and implementing personalised support plans to meet each client's unique needs and preferences Maintaining detailed records and providing regular updates to the client and their support network Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure the wellbeing of clients and staff What we're looking for Previous experience in a disability support or community services role, preferably in a similar setting A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to empowering them to live fulfilling lives Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide empathetic, person-centred care Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs and preferences of clients A current first aid certificate and a valid driver's license Completion of a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification What we offer At Balanced Care, we are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive work environment where our employees can thrive.
