This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-trust, high-impact position where you will own the compliance function, shape how we meet our obligations, and work directly with General Managers, the Executive team, and General Counsel to influence key decisions. While this role sits firmly within compliance and prioritises regulatory oversight, it also offers the opportunity to contribute to broader commercial and legal matters where your expertise may add value. Reporting to the General Counsel and working as part of an established team, you will be responsible for leading compliance with legal and regulatory obligations across a highly regulated business. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive, expert compliance advice to support the organisation in meeting its compliance obligations, while strengthening compliance frameworks, controls and outcomes. Candidates who are qualified lawyers and offer at least 8 years’ quality experience in energy regulation and consumer law will be ideal for this role. Candidates should be well equipped to navigate a fast-paced work environment and operate independently and as part of a team. Strong leadership capability, strong written and verbal communication skills, a demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders, and an ability to balance commercial and regulatory considerations are essential.
