Inclusive Allied Health provides occupational therapy and behaviour support to children, young people and adults living with intellectual, psychosocial and neurodevelopmental disabilities across Adelaide. Our team combines extensive clinical expertise with practical, real-world experience to deliver evidence-informed Positive Behaviour Support that strengthens connections, enhances quality of life, and promotes meaningful and sustainable outcomes. About the role. As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will deliver person-centered, evidence-informed behaviour support to participants across Adelaide. In this full-time (part time can be considered) hybrid role, you will complete functional behaviour assessments, develop behavior support plans, and provide training and coaching to individuals, families, and support teams, working both in the community and from home. You will collaborate with participants, carers, support coordinators, and other health professionals to implement strategies that reduce restrictive practices and enhance quality of life. The role includes maintaining accurate documentation, preparing reports (including NDIS-compliant behavior support plans), and contributing to service quality improvement and reflective practice. You will also participate in regular supervision, professional development, and team meetings to support safe, ethical, and effective practice. As a proficient or advanced practitioner, you will have the opportunity to supervise and support other team members and contribute to service development. About you. Recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, Speech Pathology, or related education or allied health discipline (or evidence of suitable experience)Eligibility for professional registration or membership with the relevant peak body (e.g., AHPRA, AASW, SPA, BPSA) and a commitment to ongoing professional development.Strong person-centered practice skills, including collaborative goal setting, capacity building, and trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches.Demonstrated skills in functional behaviour assessment, positive behaviour support planning, and implementation of evidence-informed interventionsUnderstanding of NDIS frameworks, positive behaviour support practice standards, and legislation related to restrictive practices or safeguarding is highly regardedProficiency in report writing, clinical documentation, and use of digital tools or case management systems for timely, accurate record keeping.Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with participants, families, support workers, and multidisciplinary teams.Ability to manage a clinical caseload, organize schedules, and work autonomously while contributing positively to a supportive team cultureCurrent driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle for community visits, and relevant clearances (e.g., NDIS Worker Screening, Working With Children Check) or willingness to obtain.
