Unique opportunity to earn while studying through a fully supported Certificate III in Electrical Fitting (TAFE). Structured 4-year program combining practical field experience and formal education, with a pathway to a full-time career. What you will be doing Attend TAFE training weekly and complete all academic requirements Support installation, maintenance, and repair of X-ray and trace detection systems Travel to customer sites including metropolitan, regional, and remote locations (overnight stays required) Assist in troubleshooting, servicing, and preventative maintenance of equipment Support fault diagnosis across mechanical, electrical (≤24V), and electronic components Use tools such as multimeters, laptops, and embedded software for testing and diagnostics Replace mechanical components (belts, rollers, motors, generators) using lifting aids where required Assist with installation of new equipment alongside internal teams and stakeholders Complete service documentation, reports, and compliance records Participate in safety, technical, and compliance training sessions Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment Support spare parts tracking and warehouse activities Attend team meetings, safety briefings, and calibration checks Progress to semi-autonomous work and participate in on-call roster from Year 2
