Job description: About the Role As part of this project, Barminco is seeking experienced and motivated Underground Heavy Diesel Fitters to join the team on a full-time basis, working a 7/7 FIFO roster. These roles are integral to delivering safe, productive and efficient underground mining operations at the Bellevue Gold Mine while contributing to the continued success and expansion of the Bellevue Gold Mine. Your role will support underground production within a high-performing team focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement. What Will Your Day-to-Day Look Like? Carry out planned and breakdown maintenance on our underground heavy mining equipment consisting of Sandvik drills, loaders and trucks as well as a range of Normets Diagnose faults and perform mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs Conduct inspections, servicing, and component change-outs to manufacturer and site standards Complete pre-start checks and ensure equipment is safe and compliant for operation Accurately record maintenance activities and report defects or hazards Work closely with operators and supervisors to minimise machine downtime Our Ideal Candidate Background Includes Valid Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic (or equivalent) Experience preferably in underground mining in HD Fitter capacity Possess a valid Manual Australian Driver’s Licence Strong understanding of underground mining processes and safety standards Ability to work effectively within a team and follow mine plans and procedures Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workplace What Can We Offer You?
