MacTaggart Scott Australia is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead our Quality function and ensure the continued delivery of high-quality products and services in a defence-focused manufacturing environment. This is a key leadership role, responsible for maintaining compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100D standards while driving continuous improvement across the business. About the Role Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead and manage the Quality department, ensuring systems, processes, and people are aligned to meet business and customer requirements. You will play a critical role in maintaining accreditation, leading audits, managing non-conformance and corrective actions, and embedding a strong quality culture across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Quality department and its personnel Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) Ensure compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100D standards Lead internal and external audits Manage businesses export control requirements Manage non-conformance, root cause analysis, and corrective actions Monitor quality performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives Oversee supplier and customer quality issues and ensure timely resolution Contribute to monthly business performance reporting About You You are a proactive and hands-on Quality professional with strong leadership capability and a solid understanding of quality systems in a manufacturing or defence environment. You bring: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar Quality role Strong knowledge of ISO9001 and/or AS9100D Experience managing audits, non-conformance, and corrective actions Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Experience with ERP systems and strong computer literacy Lead Auditor qualification Why Join MTSA?
