Lead From the Floor. Keep Production Moving. Make It Happen. ASKIN Performance Panels is seeking a hands-on and motivated Leading Hand – Production to join our Elizabeth manufacturing team. This is a practical, on-the-tools role where you’ll be right in the middle of operations, supporting production, guiding day-to-day workflow, operating forklifts and ensuring our panel manufacturing operations run safely, smoothly and on time. If you enjoy being active, solving problems as they arise and taking ownership of what needs to get done on the floor (not behind a desk), this role will suit you. About the Role Based at our Elizabeth site, this role supports daily production, warehouse and yard operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work closely with the SA Operations Leader and the broader team to ensure production schedules, dispatch requirements and safety standards are met. This is a role for someone who leads from the floor, not from an office. Key Responsibilities Supporting daily production and warehouse workflow Operating forklifts and production/warehouse equipment safely Assisting with panel handling, movement and dispatch activities Coordinating stock movements, inventory accuracy and materials handling Supporting loading and unloading of trucks, including oversized panel products Maintaining a safe, clean and organised production environment Assisting with stocktakes, cycle counts and inventory control Supporting continuous improvement across production and warehouse operations Providing on-the-floor guidance and support to production staff Ensuring quality, safety and operational standards are consistently met What We’re Looking For: Experience in manufacturing, warehouse or production environments Current forklift licence (or willing to obtain) Current driver’s licence Strong hands-on operational and forklift experience Ability to safely handle large and oversized materials Strong work ethic and willingness to be actively involved in production Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-moving environment Good communication and teamwork skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety Experience in panel or industrial manufacturing environments highly regarded This Role Is Ideal For You If: You prefer being active and on your feet rather than being in an office You enjoy working in manufacturing or hands-on production environments You naturally step in to help things run smoothly on the floor You are confident operating forklifts and handling materials safely You like variety across production activities You take pride in keeping operations organised, safe and efficient You enjoy working in a close-knit, practical, team-based environment Apply Now If you’re a practical, hands-on operator who enjoys leading from the floor and keeping production moving, we’d love to hear from you.
