About The Opportunity The Lead Behaviour Support Practitioner will play a pivotal role in offering clinical leadership and mentorship to a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners. This position entails not only leading a team but also maintaining a specialist caseload and ensuring clinical excellence throughout the organisation. Some of your responsibilities will include: Leading, supervising, and mentoring a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners across Greater Geelong. Maintaining a specialist caseload by conducting functional behaviour assessments and developing comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans. Overseeing service delivery and reviewing plans to align with the Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework. Supporting practitioners in navigating complex participant needs, risks, and challenges in a safe and ethical manner. Ensuring compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements and best practice standards. About You The successful candidate will have: A degree in Psychology, Social Work, Allied Health, or a related field. Current NDIS suitability and endorsement at Proficient or Advanced Practitioner level. Experience in leading or supervising Behaviour Support Practitioners, demonstrating strong people management skills. In-depth knowledge of behaviour support principles, restrictive practices, and the NDIS Act 2013. Excellent communication skills and a calm, thoughtful leadership style that reflects a commitment to reflective practice. You will also have: A passion for supporting individuals with complex needs and a dedication to ethical practice.
