About the Role M&G Hotel Group operates 10 properties across Australia and is currently seeking a hands-on, experienced Night Manager to oversee overnight operations in our properties. This is a casual position offering between 30-40 hours per week. The role is based at our Enfield location, where you will be responsible for monitoring CCTV footage, handling after-hours calls for all South Australia properties within the group, and operating our onsite commercial laundry throughout the night to support hotel linen requirements. What You'll Be Doing • Oversee nightly hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, and Maintenance between different properties in South Australia. • Serve as the main point of contact for guests and team members during overnight shifts. • Answer phone calls and maintain in-depth knowledge of hotel features, services, and hours of operation. • Perform night audit activities. • Operate the onsite commercial laundry throughout the night, including washing, drying, folding, sorting, and preparing hotel linen for daily operations. • Monitor linen stock levels and ensure laundry areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with workplace health and safety standards. • Manage emergency situations with a thorough understanding of procedures and relevant legislation. • Resolve guest complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction and uphold service standards. • Ensure Front of House areas are consistently clean, organised, and well presented. • Ensure the safety and security of hotel guests overnight and communicate with the Management team in the event of any serious emergency, security, or health and safety matter. • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and brand standards. • Deliver exceptional guest experiences and maintain high service standards. • Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders. What We’re Looking For • Proven experience in a leadership role within Front Office or Hotel Operations. • Strong leadership, management, and decision-making skills, especially under pressure. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. • Financial and operational management experience. • Proficiency in hotel PMS systems such as RMS or Opera (essential). • Guest-focused mindset with a strong commitment to quality and service. • Hands-on approach with a willingness to support all areas of hotel operations, including laundry operations. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently. • Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple priorities. • Exceptional attention to detail. • Adaptable, flexible, and solution-oriented. • Valid Australian driver's license and full working rights in Australia are required.
