We are partnered with one of WA's best-known employers, for the recruitment of both a Project Manager and a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale, complex electrical network projects. This role is working on 'customer-funded' projects, and there is an amost endless pipeline of work. The customers vary from hospitals, Main Roads, Universities, mining companies, solar, battery and traditional energy generators. This includes building transmission assets and relocating transmission lines for our customers. In this role, you will oversee the planning and execution phases, ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction The initial 12 month contract is highly likely to be extended due to an almost indefinite pipeline of work. Your Key Responsibilities will include: Manage delivery of major electrical infrastructure projects Deliver planning and execution phases of the project aligned with customer timelines and expectations Manage and monitor time, cost, and manhour schedule in P6 Ensure project financials are managed, maintained, forecasted, and are reported upon in terms of CAPEX and OPEX Identify and actively manage project assumptions, risks, issues and dependencies associated with delivery ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are established and managed Ensure that all project documentations are completed appropriately and satisfy WP's governance requirements Provide and present project progress reports to senior management and the customers Drive stakeholder engagement and maintain strong relationships across all levels In terms of your background, you'll ideally have: Broad and extensive knowledge and worked as a PM with at least 5 years of project management experience or SPM for a minimum of 10 years with demonstrated experience in high value/complex projects (electrical utility experience preferred but not mandatory) Engineering degree (electrical is preferred but not mandatory) Working knowledge of contemporary, industry & AS/NZS standards, regulatory and legislative requirements Project execution experience is required (detailed design, procurement, construction & commissioning) A successful record of delivering complex, large value, high risk projects within a constrained timeframe Detailed working knowledge of Project Management methods, tools and systems and project management methodology such as PMBOK or Prince2 (PMP certification preferred but not mandatory) Sound understanding of resource planning across multiple projects and team High level of business acumen including strategic planning, finance and leadership skills Capable of interacting and presenting to senior management and the customer This career move is waiting for you.
