The Speech Therapist will assess speech, language, communication, and feeding needs using standardized tools and clinical observation, and develop individualized therapy plans aligned with client goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing one-on-one and small-group therapy sessions, documenting progress notes and reports, and communicating regularly with families, caregivers, and other professionals. The role involves collaborating with educators and healthcare providers, contributing to multidisciplinary case discussions, and recommending strategies to support clients across home, school, and community settings. The Speech Therapist will also participate in professional development activities and support quality improvement initiatives within the service. Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia (or equivalent professional body).Demonstrated ability to assess and manage a range of speech, language, fluency, and communication disorders across diverse age groups.Strong documentation and report-writing skills, including the ability to prepare clear assessments, therapy plans, and progress reports.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients, families, and colleagues, and to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.Commitment to evidence-based practice, ongoing professional learning, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.Organizational and time-management skills to manage caseloads, schedule sessions, and meet administrative and clinical deadlines.Experience working in community, school, or clinic-based settings is beneficial; pediatric experience is highly regarded.Current working with children / vulnerable persons checks and any other required local clearances for clinical practice.
