The Opportunity We are looking for a Processing Team Leader to join our Hot Coil Processing & Despatch Operations team at our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility. As a Relief role, you will assist and provide coverage in various areas within the department, lead continuous improvement projects, support operations engineers and coordinators, and actively support management during change initiatives. You will lead and manage the team’s success through performance and productivity to ensure our business plan objectives and targets are continually met. The position is a fortnightly staff shift, working on a 5‑day x 12‑hour day/night‑shift roster. What Will You Do? Lead the shift operations and your team to achieve business targets and ensure operations are within standards Ensure safety standards and operating costs are adhered to, making suitable changes when risks and opportunities are identified Supervise the operational activities and strive for business improvements and manufacturing excellence Coaching, mentoring and developing team members to enhance capabilities Work collaboratively with and support Operations Coordinators & Operations Engineers Lead and support business improvement initiatives More About You A tertiary or trade qualification in engineering, science or a similar field (well regarded) A commitment to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others A demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop others to enhance capability An ability to influence peers and colleagues to meet operational requirements, scheduling and people demands Flexibility to meet the needs of the team to cover the roles as required We’re committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every employee feels respected and valued to be their authentic selves, and we encourage Women and First Nations people to apply.
