Minimum requirement A valid forklift licence At least 1 year of experience operating forklifts or in a similar warehouse/logistics role. Strong understanding of workplace health and safety procedures, including safe load handling practices. Ability to lift, move, and stack heavy materials safely and efficiently. Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and pre-operational safety checks is preferred. Roles and Responsibilities Operating forklift trucks to lift, transport, stack, and retrieve goods within the warehouse. Loading and unloading goods from trucks, containers, and storage areas. Moving materials to designated storage locations in accordance with warehouse procedures. Checking goods received and dispatched against delivery documentation for accuracy. Conducting routine pre-operational checks and basic maintenance of forklift equipment. Ensuring goods are stored securely to prevent damage and maintain safety standards. Adhering to workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations and safe operating practices. Recording stock movements and maintaining accurate inventory records. Identifying and reporting damaged goods, equipment faults, or safety hazards. Assisting with general warehouse duties, including cleaning and maintaining work areas. Skills & Qualities Required: Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service. Strong attention to detail and time management abilities. Ability to work independently and follow delivery schedules. Ability to lift and handle goods of varying sizes and weights. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing delivery needs. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
