In this role you will: Provide high-quality development assessment services to internal and external customers regarding development controls and applicable legislation. Assess complex development applications, modifications and subdivision certificates in accordance with relevant legislation and policy. Provide expert advice on planning issues including heritage, urban design, environmental and rural development matters. Preparation of planning reports and determinations with justified recommendations. Mentor and support junior planners on industry best practice and planning processes. We are looking for someone who: Possesses tertiary qualification in Town Planning or equivalent and demonstrated experience in applying the New South Wales planning and related legislation. Has demonstrated ability to assess and resolve planning challenges. Has capacity to effectively manage time, with advanced communication skills. Has a minimum of 4 years of planning experience in Local Government, State Government or Consulting practice.
