About the Role Use your experience and understanding of the building and construction sector to deliver suicide awareness and prevention programs as a Field Officer for MATES in Construction. In this role you will create opportunities for conversation, education and advocacy for workers who may be struggling with mental health concerns and issues of hardship, which will be achieved through training, regular site visits and providing access to help and support pathways. This is an extremely diverse role, where your adaptable attitude, ability to work autonomously and passion for making a difference will be absolutely essential to your success. We are seeking someone who is based on the northside of Brisbane. Duties & Responsibilities Promoting the MATES in Construction program across industryDeliver the MATES program on construction worksites as well as other MATES industries as appropriateEstablish and maintain relationships with stakeholders at new and existing sites to promote the MATES program Build and support volunteer networks on site such as connectors and ASIST workersSchedule and provide training for workers in suicide prevention and supportSupport construction workers who are struggling and connect them to appropriate supports Maintain regular records, collecting and maintaining data and statisticsOther duties to support brand building and program delivery as required Skills & Experience required Demonstrated understanding of the Australian building and construction industry and the ability to engage with its key stakeholders.
