Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Officer plays a key role in coordinating and delivering high‑quality HR services across the employee lifecycle. This is a hands‑on generalist role that partners with leaders and staff to support recruitment and onboarding, people processes, HR compliance and continuous improvement. Through your work, you will contribute to the ongoing success and wellbeing of both the staff and the broader Immanuel College community. Key responsibilities: Coordinate and support all aspects of the employee life cycle including but not limited to recruitment & selection, onboarding, performance development, offboarding and change management Assist with all cyclical HR tasks such as induction, probationary reviews, staff surveys, preparation and issue of statements of service etc Draft HR correspondence, including employment contracts, variation letters, and other essential documents as required Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to staff and leaders to assist them in understanding HR processes Coordinate HR compliance obligations in line with legislation and maintain record-keeping for all staff, student teachers, sport coaches, music instructors and volunteers Monitor the shared HR Inbox, triages enquiries and action items Assist in the regular review, development and implementation of the College’s HR policies, procedures, guidelines and HR-related systems Maintain HR data and prepare reports to support workforce planning, compliance and informed decision-making Contribute to existing and new HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives Our ideal candidate will bring: Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources and/or relevant experience in a similar role Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary Human Resources practices Intermediate knowledge of employment law including the Fair Work Act, modern awards and enterprise agreements Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to collaborate with others and work effectively in a team environment Application process Join our team and embrace the opportunity to enhance your HR career in an environment that values honesty, integrity and compassion.
