About your new employer: Our client is a top tier Australian law firm with a highly regarded Projects & Development team in Perth. The team has a strong reputation for advising on m ajor mining, oil & gas, LNG, renewables and broader energy transactions, including national and cross-border projects across Australia, Asia and Papua New Guinea. They are known for doing high-quality, complex work while still having a genuinely approachable team culture. It is polished and high-performing, but not cold or overly corporate. This would suit someone who wants strong technical development, quality clients and the chance to work on matters that are well above the ordinary. About the role: You will work closely with Partners and senior lawyers across a broad mix of energy, resources and projects matters. The work will include: acquisitions and divestments in the mining and oil & gas sectors; project development and expansion work; renewables and energy transition transactions; joint ventures, JOAs, shareholders agreements and partnership structures; mineral and gas sales and transportation agreements; LNG sales agreements, trading arrangements and power purchase agreements; and involvement in client relationships, business development and broader team initiatives. The ideal candidate: Senior Lawyer with experience in energy, resources, projects, infrastructure or major transactions. Background in mining, oil & gas, LNG, renewables or project development will be highly regarded. Ideally trained in a top-tier, international, national or specialist projects/resources team. Strong drafting skills, commercial judgement and matter management ability. Confident managing smaller matters and assisting on larger, more complex transactions. Open to relocating to Perth, if not already based locally. Candidates requiring sponsorship are encouraged to apply where they have strong relevant experience.
